Ministry Objectives
Advancing the Kingdom through Personal Character Building
  1. From the book of First Samuel, we will examine the life of several individuals, from the well known like Saul, Samuel and David to the lesser known characters like Ahimelech, Abigail, and Saul’s armor bearer.
  2. In this study, we will learn character, integrity, loyalty, honesty, faithfulness, respect, honor and more.
  3. Applying these character building principles into our daily lives, we will gain a greater sense of God’s calling for each one of us in the marketplace, in the family, and in our interaction with fellow students or colleagues. God is advancing His kingdom through each one of us.

Advancing the Kingdom through Enhanced Church Ministry
  4. From our topical study, we will be encouraged to be servant leaders like Jesus, experiencing grace and mercy together as one body.
  5. There will be reconciliation between brothers and sisters, and a new sense of unity in the body.
  6. Together we will discover the will of God for our church. Starting with a sense of identity and become an army for God’s Kingdom.

Advancing the Kingdom through Becoming Globally Aware
  7. From the quarterly multimedia segments, we will be exposed to global issues that are plaguing our world today. We will be challenged to think about these issues and our role as believers.
  8. God is very much concerned with what we do today. The world we leave behind will be the world our next generation will live in. We should have a sense of responsibility for the mess of a world we have created.
  9. As one body, God wants us to expand our vision for His kingdom. We need to see pass our church walls and connect with the world God want us to love.

Advancing the Kingdom through Breaking the Cultural-Boundaries
  10. If we are to apply what we’ve learned, we would need to step out off our personal comfort zone and reach out to our friends and neighbors of a different culture background. For example, within our church we have several different language services, we need to step out and touch someone.
  11. Another step is to touch the community around us. Our church resides in a community that is quite insulated from the outside. How to reach out to them? Perhaps community service is a simple way to start. Can we see the needy, the homeless, the orphan or widows in our community?
  12. Next, we need to take a step of faith and step into a boat, a plane or even a bus. Let the Spirit of God take us to a place unfamiliar. God will do wonders as we take a step of faith into His realm of wonders, as we watch the Kingdom expand.
