Mission Statement

EFCI English Ministry is a family ministry, conceived in the heart of Christ to combat the disintegration of family and morality in the 21st century America. We build our ministry from the foundation of God's words (teaching), through Spirit led celebration (worship), interdependent relationship development (fellowship), serving the community (ministry), and reaching out to the world (mission).

From the English Pastor
I believe the Church of Jesus Christ is a place where we Experience Grace and Forgiveness, enabled by God's awesome love through His Son. The call of the church is to introduce others to Embrace God as Father. So, as the family of God we Grow up Together, experiencing and Owning a Firsthand Faith, putting what we learn into practice by Linking Truth and Life, and by faith Defeating the Enemies of Spiritual Progress.

Further, as a minister in God's grand enterprise, I am to Empower Others by allowing their unique gifting to prevail and to offer them before God for service, a process that is Seasoned by Time and Experience.

I would like to invite you to join us as we embark on this amazing journey.

Our Theme for 2008
In 2006, we made an effort to define or redefine ''The One Thing'' that matters the most in this whole universe other than God himself, the church of Jesus Christ. When Jesus returned to heaven 2000 years ago, he left his disciples with the gospel mission. Today we are called as Disciples of Christ to be in the homes, the schools, the marketplace, and the world continuing the same gospel enterprise.

In 2007, we had two themes one on ''Entering the Promise'' and the other ''Celebrating Joy.'' As the world lust after things that will never satisfy, the church of Jesus Christ must have a greater passion. What does it take to live a life of fulfillment & joy? We must recognize the cost associated with a victorious Christian life. As Apostle Paul amply puts it, ''To live is Christ, to die is gain.''

In 2008, our theme will be ''Advancing the Kingdom.'' We will study from the book of I Samuel, a series on ''Character under Fire.'' Our focus will shift from the church into the community and beyond. I think we will have a great time together.
