台灣音樂宣道日記 Mission Journal

I thank the Lord for bringing us safely to Taiwan. As the airplane started to descend I looked out the window and my prayer to God was that the Lord will use the choir as an instrument to spread God’s love to all the inmates whom we will come in contact with. I pray that the Lord use me as a channel that will flow His love to others, but I also pray to God that He will remind me constantly to have a humble heart, and that He will take my fear and worries that I have of my family in the U.S. so that I can fully concentrate on this mission. Even though I miss my kids terribly I am asking God to give me peace in knowing that if He brought me here to Taiwan for the sole purpose of spreading the gospel, then He definitely will watch over my family in the U.S.

The airplane landed at 5:50 A. M. After a long flight it is nice to put our feet on solid ground. I pray that God will heal and bless this land that we call our homeland, that in our future we get to see this “Ilha Formosa” and its people turn to God.

While at the rest area going to the restroom, I saw so many buses carrying so many people, and they are all walking to the restroom. And I ask God, “Lord, all these people walking back and forth in all directions, but where are these people headed when they leave this world?” My prayer is that God will grant these people the opportunity to hear the gospel.

We arrived at the Ambassador Hotel in Kao-Hsiung at around 3:30 P. M. and checked in to our rooms, and we have the rest of the day to unpack and rest. Tomorrow we will start our mission. I pray that God will give to all our choir members a sense of unity.

And as I write this, I cannot help but to say, “Thank you, Lord, for giving me this opportunity to serve you and Lord, please use me as an instrument to further your kingdom. Amen.”
